Shalom Family and Friends,
Tomer and I have safely arrived in the States and are enjoying our vacation of instantly hot showers and all the food you could ever want! It sure is great to be back in Florida and visiting with everyone! Tomer had the chance to spend the first four days in New York with the police. These are the same men he got to know in the past two years. They took him again this year on a helicopter tour of NYC and to all the sites. They got special clearance to go up into the torch of the Statue of Liberty and also visited Ground Zero. They also took him to a place called "The Rock" where the FBI/CIA meet and hold security briefings. They even allowed him to share with them a bit about what his unit does in Jerusalem in regard to fighting terrorism.
I have been resting, shopping and eating out with mom and catching up with all of my friends. It was especially touching to me that a good friend of mine I haven't seen in years, Melissa, flew in to surprise me and spend some time with me! She and my mom plotted the entire thing and I had no idea until she walked in the door last night for our first night of sharing about Israel! What an awesome gift.
Last night, we had our "Part I" night of speaking and sharing about the past year in Israel and all that God is doing there. It was awesome to see so many familiar faces and to meet new ones as well! We enjoyed sharing from our hearts about life in Jerusalem and how God is using us to share His love with the people. In case you missed last night, you can come to out "Part II" on Saturday the 18th:
Saturday August 18th, 6:00PM - "Israel: Exploring the Year Ahead"
This will be a special night for those who want to know more "Inside Information" on where Israel is headed and how this will impact you!
- Learn of the prophecies that are being fulfilled before our eyes
- Gain an understanding of the political situation and how this affects you
- Explore the spiritual elements surrounding the city of Jerusalem
- Expand your understanding of the world's greatest threat: Islam
- Find out what your role is in all of this!
This will be a more intense evening and will explore the heavier issues that won't have time to be discussed in the first evening. Come prepared to be challenged! This is a night that's sure to make a personal impact.
Covered dish supper to follow. Please bring a dish to share and spoil Erin with some good American food!
