I wrote an Israel update this morning, not realizing how events could change in a matter of hours.
Most of you either know Tomer or have heard about him in my updates. He is a Commander in a Special Forces Unit of the Jerusalem Police called the Yisam. He is also a Believer. And as you all know, he is dear to me.
Just an hour ago, huge riots broke loose in the Old City and on the Temple Mount. Policemen have been injured; Arabs are throwing rocks, Molotov cocktails and bottles at police. The Western Wall had to be evacuated and Muslims have barricaded themselves in the Al Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount. This is a very chaotic situation.
Tomer is one of the police on the Temple Mount and he is actively involved in this. He has not answered his phone but I trust that God is protecting him.
Please pray now for these riots to end.
Please pray for Tomer's safety and the safety of the Police and IDF.

I could barely work this afternoon, in fact I am still at work now as I write this. It's hard for me to leave to go home when I know he is just down the street in the middle of this chaotic situation.
