Shalom Everyone,

 

I wanted to tell you all of my experience in Jerusalem this evening.  I was walking down the main street in Jerusalem called Yafo Street, where all the bus stops are.  It is a high-traffic street and people are always crowded there.  I had just finished eating dinner and was walking down Yafo to go get some tea and then head to my bus.  It was approx 10:00PM and all the sudden the Israeli Police, Military and Ambulances crowded around a bus and they yelled at all of the people to stand back!  We stood there watching, I was as curious as ever!  I talked to one of the Special Ops Israeli Policemen and he said that they identified a strange foreign object on a bus and needed to examine it.  Just then I saw all these Israeli soldiers gearing up in these special suits and other gear to handle whatever it was that was on the bus.  By this time, we were all asked to leave so I had to go down another street.  I then grabbed some tea, talked to some people standing around and, ironically, caught my bus and headed home.

So another exciting night in Jerusalem!

And as my Israeli friends say… another typical night in Jerusalem.

Your question is probably, “Were you afraid?” And my answer is no.  No weapon formed against us shall prosper.
