A brief update as to what is going on as we speak:

 

- Israel has wiped out several targets in Lebanon, Beirut in particular.  This morning at 4AM the noise of the IDF planes woke everyone up.  Israel wiped out Beirut's airport, TV station and other targets.

 

- Today, Lebanon had sent in over 50 rockets on northern Israeli communities.  We received this request at work today:

  "Dear Prayer Partners,

 

Please pray for the northern border and Galilee region of Israel.  Our Lebanese Congregation in Nahariya are all in bomb shelters and the children are very scared.  Sixty rockets have already hit Nahariya and one person has been killed. These rockets can also hit Haifa so pray for the safety of our northern cities.  Please press in for all the people that live in Galilee and across the northern border.

- Eight IDF soldiers have been killed as of this morning

 

- The names from the two recent kidnappings have been released:  Ehud and Eldad

 

- The Gaza situation is still intensified

 

- Communities in the north have been evacuated to bomb shelters and one person has been killed so far.  One Ketusha landed in the Kibbutz I stayed at two weeks ago.

 

- France, Russia and the European Union have condemned Israel for their response. (To write about my thoughts on this would take a book so I will spare you my rant)

 

- Ketucha's are still being fired at the north, even as I type this.

 

- "Smaller" acts of terrorism are being committed such as a molotov cocktail that was lit and thrown at an Israeli bus near Bethlehem.

 

So that's what's going on since I woke up this morning.

No fear, I am safe... but I am in a state of intercession for Israel and I would be honored if you were too.
