Shalom Everyone,
Living and working in a foreign
country as a missionary means you
spend a lot of time adapting to the
culture of that particular place.
Along with this adaptation come many
“trial and error” situations. I
have a funny story to tell! (Why no
one told me until now, I am not
sure!) Every morning and afternoon
I feed patients their breakfast and
lunch. Since I am currently
learning Hebrew, I practice speaking
to the patients as I feed them. I
thought I was telling the patients
to “Open up your mouth” so I can
feed them… well, I just found out
that I have been using the Hebrew
word for “You have a big mouth”
instead! And here I was wondering
why their eyes would get big when I
would say this and why they would
all break into fits of laughter! Oh
well, at least I didn’t offend
them. They are probably curious why
some American woman is going around
telling them they have a big mouth!
God has truly been operating in my
life and in the lives of others. I
have made more friends in the past
twenty-four hours and have talked to
more people about why I am here than
ever before. The opportunities are
endless and as soon as I get done
meeting one person and explaining
what I am doing, another comes
along!
I initially used to wonder how God
would bring me back to Israel, well
now I have more opportunities than I
know what to do with! Since I
visited that children’s home, I have
been given other opportunities as
well. One is to continue to work
full-time here at Maon HaRofe and
the manager said they would help me
with my visa and continue to provide
my room and board. And I have yet a
few other leads that have surfaced.
The need in Israel is tremendous and
I could use tons of people for all
the positions that need to be
filled! Please pray for me as I
want to follow God’s lead in my
life. I am sold-out for Him so I
trust He will guide my steps.

Yesterday after work, Mandy and I
went to the Old City which made my
heart leap out of my chest again! I
absolutely adore it there and I gave
her my own special tour of the Kotel
(Western Wall), David’s Citadel, the
Jewish and Arab Quarters of the Old
City and all sorts of places. I
always feel like I am walking back
in time when I visit there and it’s
like a dream for me because I can
walk up and down all the side
streets and back alley walkways to
see where I end up. Every day in
the Old City is an adventure all
its’ own and you never know who you
will meet and what you will stumble
upon. Behind the next corner could
be a spiritual treasure that allows
you to reflect upon the amazing
History of the Bible. After the Old
City, I took Mandy to my favorite
place in the world: The Promenade.
It is the most beautiful and quiet
park/garden that overlooks all of
Jerusalem. Mandy and I sat there
and talked about Yeshua’s soon
return as we stared out over the Old
City. We shared with each other the
visions and dreams God has given us
about how Yeshua will return shortly
and what it will be like when He
does. We discussed the book of
Revelation. She and I could feel
the Holy Spirit moving within us and
we even edified one another in the
Word and were operating in the gifts
of the Spirit. How cool is that? To
sit in such a place and see the
Power of God!
And after that, we caught a bus to
see where it would take us and we
ended up meeting a Jewish man named
Benjamin. Benjamin is from
California and decided to move to
Israel a couple years ago to start a
business and also show support for
his people during such difficult
times. He is very open to hearing
the truth and I ask that you please
lift up Benjamin in prayer… God has
something in store for him, I can
tell! And after this, we wound up
downtown on Ben Yehuda Street where
we met so many young people and
families that we stayed for hours
just talking to the people. They
were in awe of the fact that Mandy
and I are volunteers and serving the
people during such a crazy time.
They asked us a million questions
and, like always, the discussions
turned in the direction of God.
Mandy and I have decided to go every
evening to Ben Yehuda Street and
simply minister to the people by
befriending them and getting into
“God Conversations”. Please pray
for us as we venture out. We have a
big vision for this type of
ministry.

Last but not least, I want to share
about the wonderful staff and
patients here. I have been visiting
Moti (29 year old Orthodox Jewish
man that is paralyzed) and he and I
have been picking up discussing the
Bible where we left off before I
headed back to the USA. He wasted
no time at all and started asking me
questions! I am honored to be a
friend to such an amazing person. I
admire his strength. I am working
alongside the same staff members as
before and we all feel like a
family. It is one of the reasons I
am considering staying here where I
am at. I want to continue what God
has started here and don’t want to
ruin the foundation He has already
laid.

Shoshana is one of our patients and
I have included a video clip I took
of she and I. I hope you enjoy them
and I pray that you will remember
the importance of Israel and God’s
Chosen People. The disengagement is
soon and the tension is rising.
These are amazing times we are
living in. Mandy and I said
yesterday that unless people get out
of their comfort zones, they will
not see all the prophetic events
that are unfolding before them! Let
us open our eyes! His return is
soon!

the Bride say, “Come!” And let him
who hears say, “Come!” And let him
who thirsts come. Whoever desires,
let him take the water of life
