Shalom Faithful Friends and Family,
I created an update two days ago that took me over an hour to write. When I tried to send it, my computer froze and I just couldn't get it to work. After a conversation I had with my mom that night, I knew why. God had an entirely different idea for this update, a new direction to take. So before I start discussing what's going on in this part of the world, I want to share something that is on my heart.
Acts 16:9-10 "And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him saying, 'Come over to Macedonia and help us.' Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them."
What if we all moved that fast? What if we all received an urgent request and immediately acted upon it? What if we didn't think about the logical patterns or reasonable solutions and simply did what we were told to do? What if we didn't spend time doubting, dismissing or reasoning with God? What if we didn't test things over and over again before deciding it was legit?
But before we could ever act, before we could ever do such things, we have to dream. We must be set free to dream.
What if we were given permission to dream? What if we were spoken over by our Pastors and Congregations to release us to follow the dreams and visions God has birthed within our very souls? What if, instead of hearing from our Congregations, families and friends that it's ok to live a nominal life, we were told to dare to dream? As much as some may cringe when they hear this, the church has fallen short and so have our leaders and families and friends whether knowingly or unknowingly (that's up to God to judge). But as I sit here typing this, considering all that has been left behind (family, friends, job and material possessions) I pass on to you permission to dream. Your dream may not be to do what I do… and that's perfectly fine! Each calling is unique. But dream! Don't limit yourself, and don't limit others. If you have children, never tell them they aren't able to accomplish their God-given dreams. If you have a spouse, never stand in the way of how God wants to use them. If you have friends and family, never doubt or criticize their God-given callings. To change this world for the furtherance of the True Gospel of Yeshua, we must encourage one another to dream. If you have a word to share, a deed to act upon or a place to go… Then speak, act and go! You have my permission… but above and beyond that, you have God's.
Forsake not the dreams He has given you.
When did we stop preaching in the pulpit about the beauty of blind faith? When did the church go from Peter supernaturally released from prison and Paul spreading the gospel in chains, to living a life in a house with a white picket fence and 2.5 children with debt up to our eyeballs? When did we go from seeing a need and immediately helping, to approaching the board at church to get approval to bless a missionary in Africa that can barely afford food or clothing? When did we go from healing the sick, casting out demons and bringing freedom in Yeshua's Name, to sitting in church for an hour on Sunday while singing a few songs and hearing a three point sermon on prosperity and thinking that's enough? When did we go from dreaming dreams and having visions, to covering up the gifts so that we don't disturb the peace? When did we go from living passionately unquestioningly outrageous lives for God to living comfortably?
Yes, it hurts to hear these things. May even make you angry. "Erin who are you to tell us how to live and what we should and should not be doing?" To which I reply, "I am no one but a bondservant to the One True Messiah and I couldn't care less about speaking with words of eloquence or persuasion. I speak only one thing to you: Jesus Christ and Him Crucified." And that should be enough. I didn't go through the refiner's fire to come out as ashes. I went through the refiner's fire to become gold… and you will too.
He who has an ear let him hear what the spirit says to the churches!
Beloved brothers and sisters, we are entering a time where you must know what you believe. There are no more fence-sitters. You are about to witness the end of days and if you do not fall on your face before God and ask Him to grant you His vision for your lives and his dreams in your heart, you may miss out on the chance to make a difference. Don't hold back! You have one life to live, one chance to do something drastic for Him! I beg of you, step out you faithful servants of the Most High God! Even now, I believe the Holy Spirit is impressing upon some of you the dreams you may have forgotten or painfully, or even willfully pushed aside.
As things rapidly progress here and throw us into the End Times, I am constantly reminded of how dangerous complacency is. My heart utters and groans things which I cannot speak. I pace my room and jump up and down and dance before Him. I am overwhelmed with prophetic utterances that send me into passionate prayer. Do not be complacent! I mourn for the times where the love of many will grow cold. Where the people who call themselves lovers of God become lovers of pleasure instead. I tell you now, we are in those times. Do not be complacent. Do not search for the next emotional spiritual high. Get solid. Get real. Get moving.
Romans 13:11-12
"And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light."
This is Erin urging you LIVE from Zion to dream NOW…
