01/26/06 - Israel Update: Election Confusion!

Shalom Warriors,

As you have probably heard on the news, Hamas has contested the election results that favoured Fatah.  This is to be expected because Hamas will not give in easily.  The politics are so corrupt in the Palestinian government that neither side can be trusted.  So stand by for more updates!  Keep your eye on this election!  It's quite a dramatic event.  And keep praying!

The presence of the UN has drastically increased (not that they do anything of value) and the stress upon Israel is certainly felt.

As I looked up the Jerusalem Post and saw the election scramble, a praise song on my radio came on that totally gave me this sense of peace and comfort:

Above all power, above all kings, above all nature and all created things
Above all wisdom and all the ways of man,
You were here before the world began
Above all kingdoms, above all thrones, above all wonders the world has ever known,
Above all wealth and treasures of the earth
There's no way to measure what you're worth
Crucified, Laid behind a stone,
You lived to die, rejected and alone
Like a rose, trampled on the ground,
You took the fall, and thought of me above all.

Our God is truly above all kings and kingdoms, Amen?  None of the election results will catch Him off-guard!

Another huge breakthrough has happened.  My friend Tomer (Police guy) who I gave that book of Psalms to, has now agreed to attend "the deepend" at my congregation tonight  Click here .  The deepend is a praise and worship service presented in a multi-media presentation for Israelis (and anyone who wants to attend) in their twenties.  We meet in the main fellowship hall and the lights are off.  On a giant screen, they put up Bible verses in Hebrew and English for us to reflect upon as we sing praise and worship music.  As you look around, you see young adults prostrate on the floor in prayer, people sitting, standing and some are dancing while others may be quietly reflecting.  It is truly my time to get refilled and refreshed in the Holy Spirit.  So Tomer has agreed to go and he is actually curiously looking forward to it.  He was very relieved when I told him he could wear jeans! :-D  So I am asking for you to pray for Tomer today!  It is my desire that he comes to know Yeshua as Messiah and.  This is my highest calling to the people of Israel... that they would know Messiah.

Thank you, dear brothers and sisters in the Lord, for your prayers.  They truly defeat the enemy and Glorify GOD!
