Shalom Everyone,
Things have cooled down a bit over
the disengagement. Don’t get me
wrong, there are plenty of protests
still and a lot of tension remains,
but the very emotionally disturbing
part is mostly over. Let’s all wait
to see what happens. My friends and
I are taking guesses about when the
next suicide bombing will be. It’s
just a matter of time.
So I have a special guest that
arrived in Israel last week to
volunteer on an Israeli military
base for two weeks… Dad! That’s
right, my dad is here in Israel and
we are having an amazing time. His
stories are awesome and he has
really made himself quite a valuable
position on his assigned base. I
enjoy taking him on my own tour
during his days off and right now he
is here in Jerusalem! Be sure to
give him a call when he returns so
he can tell you what it was like to
be in the IDF! My dad rarely, if
ever, gets vacation time and I am
honored that he chose to come all
the way to Israel to stay in very
minimal living quarters to work 40
hours a week to support Israel. He
is a hero not only to me but to all
of the soldiers he has worked with.
His reputation there proves this
because the soldiers love him!

Today I had the amazing opportunity
to fully witness to our Arab taxi
driver named “Kojak” (that is a
nickname of course!) He started
asking us what we believe and before
you know it, I was sharing the
entire story of the life of Jesus
and covered all of the important
details. He asked so many questions
it was hard to keep up, but I know I
gave him quite a lot to think
about. I want you all to pray for
him this week. We are going to use
Kojak to drive us to the Sea of
Galilee next week and I plan on
discussing Yeshua with him the
entire time. Please see my website
for a picture of Kojak and recent
pictures of dad an I!

Mandy and I have grown very close.
So close that I am dreading her
leaving to return to South Africa in
a month. We have started our own
ministry to the young people of
Israel every evening in Central
Jerusalem. I can’t imagine not
having her there. Please pray for
Mandy as God guides her and pray for
me as well that God will provide me
another companion. I never realized
how much I need the like-minded
companionship of another girl my
age. It has been eye-opening and
has blessed my spirit immensely.
Work at the hospital is going
great! Our patients are as feisty
as ever and everyday I get so many
giggles out of the different things
that occur. I adore every single
minute here at the hospital and I
couldn’t be more satisfied. God is
truly awesome to fulfill our needs
and even give us joy in the process.

Thank you all for your continued
prayer support. We all depend upon
it and know that many prayers are
being said for this very special
ministry here in Israel.
