What We Believe
God is 3 persons but is still 1 God. The Father is God, Son is God (John 20:28, John 1:1, Titus 2:13, Romans 9:5 and 2 Peter 1:1) and Holy Spirit is God. (2 Corinthians 3:17-18 and Acts 5:3-4)
God is loving. (1 John 4:8, John 3:16 and Deuteronomy 23:5)
God is just. (Isaiah 45:21 and Luke 11:42)
God is gracious. (James 4:6 and Acts 20:24)
The Bible is the word of God and in its original state is infallible. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 1 Peter 1:20-21, 2 Peter 3:15-16, 1 Corinthians 2:13, 1 Corinthians 14:37 and 1 Thessalonians 2:13)
The Bible is entirely true. (John 17:17)
Faith comes from the Bible. (Romans 10:17)
The Bible is to be used for doctrine and correction. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Man is sinful. (1 John 1:8-10 and Romans 5:12)
Man’s wisdom is foolish. (1 Corinthians 1:20 and 1 Corinthians 3:19)
Man’s emotions are deceitful. (Jeremiah 17:9)
Man is created for certain purposes
Man is created to glorify God. (1 Corinthians 6:20)
Man is called to preach to the world. (Matthew 28:19-20)
Man is called to love others. (John 13:34-35 and 1 Peter 4:8)
Man is called to support others with clothing and food. (James 2:15-16)
Man is called to pray for others. (James 5:16)
Man is called to confess his trespasses to others. (James 5:16)
All of creation took place in 6 – 24 hour days. (Genesis 1 and Exodus 20:11)
Everything was created perfect. There was no sin, suffering or death before the fall. (Genesis 1:31 and Romans 5:12)
Once a person is saved they are always saved. (1 John 5:13, John 10:27-29 and 2 Corinthians 5:17)
Salvation is only through Jesus Christ. (John 3:36, John 14:6, Acts 4:12, 1 Thessalonians 5:9 and 2 Timothy 2:10)
Salvation is from faith alone, not works. (Ephesians 2:9, Romans 4 and Isaiah 64:6)
A person can know if they are saved. (1 John 5:13)
A person that is saved naturally produces good works. (James 2:17-26)
O.T. believers were saved through faith, not through works. (Romans 4)
Salvation is available to anyone that is alive. (John 3:16 and 2 Corinthians 5:14-15)
